Better strokes,
smarter trips.

Sore shoulders after an hour usually means you're paddling with your arms. The power comes from rotation, and that's a change you can see on video and feel by the second outing.

The programs

Four programs, and the rescue course stays in person

Technique, planning and fitness coach well by video. Capsizes do not, and we'll always send you to a local course for those.

How it works

Film from the bank, fix the rotation

You can't see your own stroke, and the boat hides most of it. One clip from the shore answers nearly everything.

Free intro call

Twenty minutes on where you paddle, what you paddle and what hurts afterwards.

Film a few minutes

From the bank or a following boat, side on if possible.

Written analysis

Within 48 hours: rotation, catch, posture, and one change to make.

Drills and a plan

Dry-land drills, plus a plan for your next paddle.

How we work

Land-based coaching, and we say so

Everything here happens on video calls. Nobody is on the water with you, and no coaching at a distance can tell you whether today's conditions are safe at your launch.

So two things are non-negotiable: take a rescue and self-rescue course in person from a qualified instructor, and wear a life jacket every time. Cold water in particular kills confident swimmers, and no amount of technique changes that.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Can you teach me to roll a kayak?

Not over video. Rolling and rescue skills need a pool or sheltered water and an instructor beside you. We'll help you find a course and prepare for it.

Kayak or paddleboard?

Both are coached here, and the stroke principles overlap more than people expect. We'll talk through which suits your water and your goals.

Do I need my own boat?

It helps for regular practice, but rentals are fine while you're learning. We take no commission on any equipment.

I get sore shoulders after an hour.

Classic arm-paddling. Rotation fixes it, and it's usually visible in the first video review.

Is paddling alone safe?

Less safe, always. We'd rather you paddled with others, told someone your plan, and stayed close to shore when you don't.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contract, no minimum term. Access stays open until the end of the month you already paid for.

Want a stroke that doesn't hurt?

Twenty minutes on your paddling, your water and the first change. Free.
